Worlds Worst Website
One of the world’s worst websites was www.angelfire.com/super/badwebs
The worlds worst websites were really really bad, they had really bad colour schemes, there were annoying flashing things, the annoying song, some of the patches of writing you couldn’t read and the virus message made it pretty bad too.
When I was looking around in the site it was very annoying, i just wanted to quit out of it straight away.
I will design my webpage in a fairly simple way, easy to read and not so bright. I’ll make it attractive but not tooo over the top.
School This Term in IT
Thius term in IT the main thing we have done is our digital portfolio and we have just recently started using the flash program.
I really enjoyed doing our digital portfolios on Macroedia, I thought it was something usful and worthwhile and something to learn from. I was proud of my digital portfolio and i understood the progam, that helped alot too.
Currently we are working on flash, I still have not got the real meaning of this progam, I think i still need to do a little bit more playing around and then get a bit more serious on creating a house
I have really enjoyed IT this term it has been really interesting and a subject that is a weekly highlight, I hope that this will continue on again next term.
Next term I hope to do more work on flash so I can totally understand what Im doing and what effects it has on the product, I want to continue on doing IT, so hopefully we will be doing something worth while next term
Using Flash
Last week in IT we were using flash, here are my thoughts so far:
What are my expectations of the program? I expect to be able to make a good animation
How do you find flash compared to Dreamweaver? They seem to be very different progams, but flash so far seems a bit more interesting and easy
What do I hope top learn or be able to do in flash? To be able to make an excelent animation
How do I feel about flash? It seems alot more fun than dreamweaver and i hope to learn a lot from the program
What do I remember from last weeks lesson? That we made really cool circles and squiggles, it was quite interactive
More Netball
In IT this year we have been using Macramedia Dreamqweaver to create our own digital portfolio, we have now completed the base outline. I chose the colours because I thought that something bright would be appealling and I think I am a bright and happy kind of person. I changed the colours as I got deeper into it, they don’t look as good but I think they are a good indecator that they are more in deapth. I kind of like my digital portfolio, I think with me creative abilities, it has been a little bit of a success.

We have used the program before we made the actual portfolio, which I thought really helped and gave everyone a little bit of confidence in the program. In the begining everything seemed really, really hard, but now things are easier to understand and everything is to a higher standard and better quality.
Netball
Last week in the netball we played against Birchip at Birchip. And we won. Birchip is the bottom of the ladder and we were second bottom and we won by 35 goals. Everyone played really well. But they were missing their best player due to a broken arm, oh well.
This week we play Charlton. They are the top of the ladder so we will probably get beaten by like 30 or 40 goals. But this is the last round, but we will miss out on the finals.
Not alot has been happening in the last week so I haven’t got much to write about.
Using Dreamweaver
This year in IT we have been using Macromedia Dreamweaver to make a digital portfolio. We have had a few problems, but we are getting there.
I like dreamweaver because once you know how to use it it is pretty easy to get used to. We have started ours a few times now and it is a lot easier than the first time.
Something I hate about dreamweaver is that there is almost too many different options. It sometimes gets hard to know what option to be in like layout or standard and things like that.
One of the things I could wish I could do to dreamweaver is make it simpler, it is a bit too complicated.
The major thing that I have learnt on dreamweaver is to actually open it in Local Files, I thought that was pretty difficult for a start and also to be patient with the program.

Boring School Holidays
Over the school holidays I did very little. The main thing I did was probably playing netball. On the first Saturday we played St Arnaud, they were 3rd on the ladder and we bet them by 3 or 4 goals (Yellow Hat). Then on the second weekend we played Birchip, they were bottom of the ladder and they bet us by 2 goals (Black Hat). It was good to beat St Arnaud, but very, very dissapointing to lose to Birchip (Red Hat).
Other than playing netball I did hardly anything. I slept in nearly every morning and just lazed aroung the house. If I could have done anything I like on the school holidays I would have gone somewhere where it is hot, I am sick of the miserable weather (Green Hat).
Netball on Sunday
On Sunday I played netball in Strathdale at the Flora Hill School. I play with the North Central under 15s. There are nine girls in the squad. One of the girls hurt her ankle, so she couldn’t play the majority of the games.
We played the Strathdale Purple team and they are probably our main competition, we have played them about three times now and haven’t beaten them once. We always get off to a slow start and they out score us in the first half and in the second half qe are with them.
Next week we play in the major tounament in Mildura, the zone championships. Hopefull we do really well in it because it the tournament we build up to.
